Informed Ingredient Announces Launch of a New Website

Informed-Ingredient.com

The new Informed Ingredient website offers search and filtering functionalities, certified ingredient listings and profiles, and educational materials related to banned substance testing.

Global life sciences company, LGC, is proud to announce the launch of informed-ingredient.com, the new website for its banned substance testing and certification program Informed Ingredient. Introduced in February 2021, Informed Ingredient is a global quality assurance programme developed to minimise the risk of banned substance contamination within ingredients intended for the sports nutrition industry.

The new website includes a robust search functionality allowing users to filter by formulation, company name, category, goal, and regional availability. Included on the site is information related to the certification process showcasing the rigorous four-step certification process every certified ingredient undergoes. Users can also find educational materials such as white papers related to banned substance testing. These features showcase the global presence of the Informed Ingredient programme and provide a seamless experience for the programme’s customers.

Every ingredient tested and certified by Informed Ingredient has its own certified ingredient profile page. This page provides detailed information including the date certified, a link to the ingredient’s website, and every tested batch number.

“We are excited to announce the Informed Ingredient website to our customers and sports nutrition brands around the world,” said Paul Klinger, Business Development Director for LGC’s INFORMED programmes. “Informed-Ingredient.com allows users to easily search for and find a tested ingredient while also providing detailed product information by way of the certified ingredient profile page. The listing of tested batches allows supplement brands to confirm an ingredient has been certified by our programme.”

Reputable suppliers can certify their ingredients with Informed Ingredient in order to help companies easily identify them as having appropriate quality systems and testing in place to ensure the integrity of supplied ingredients. All testing for Informed Ingredient is conducted at LGC’s ISO 17025 accredited laboratories in Lexington, Kentucky, and Fordham, United Kingdom.
